Freya, a capable Dragoon knight from the kingdom of Burmecia, is strong and intelligent, a valued asset in battle. Yet, she is eternally sorrowful, searching years for her lost love, Fratley. Because of his disappearence, Freya feels the need to wander the Continent in search of him, never resting until he is found. In FFX's world of Spira, Lulu is much the same: she is strong, reserved, extremely serious. As one of Yuna's guardians, she acts as her older sister and tries to make her pilgrimage as smooth as possible. But underneath the cool exterior is a woman scarred by the death of her love by Sin's attack, as well as a deeply-religious devotee who has to question her beliefs in the Yevon religion. She also, like Quistis, is still plagued with doubts about her own ability to guard Yuna, and as well as guilt for what has already passed. All three females exhibit the same strength, intelligence and steadfastness which make them valuable in their respective fantastic worlds, but each still have an aspect of their lives in which leaves them unfulfilled.
